As some of you know, I am working on a certification through Austin Community College for Music Business Management. More about that at a later date, but what has been really awesome about going back to school and taking classes, is that I get to be around musicians and people who are passionate about the music business. One of my classmates in my Concert Promotion class is the bassist for Tyler McCollum and invited us to their show at The Rustic Tap a couple of weeks ago. I was already going to be in the area photographing another band, so I jumped at the chance to go watch his band play and photograph a few photos.
I enjoyed the show, I haven’t been to a Red Dirt/Texas Country concert in a while, so it was great to attend and hear an awesome sounding band. Make sure to follow Tyler and the band on Instagram and Facebook to see where they are traveling to next! They put on a great show, so check them out! Also, check out the photos I shot from their set.

Last Friday I was able to shoot Them Dirty Roses at Antone’s. The tickets were so in demand that they scheduled two shows! I found this band on Spotify and instantly became obsessed. I love a great rock band. One with loud, heavy guitars and even louder drums. They hail from Alabama and are kick ass live. Make sure to check them out when they are in your area. Also, make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram!
Here are the photos from their early set. Enjoy!

This past Saturday, I drove to the Abilene area to take photos of the Davis family!
Tia was my first best friend. I was 3 years old when she was born, and we have grown up to be fabulous 30— something-year-olds! 😀 She’s more like a sister than a cousin to me, and I love seeing the woman, wife, mom she has become.
They recently purchased land out in Hawley and built a beautiful home. We set out to photograph on their land in an area with trees. We were surprised with extra models in our shoot, as their cows came to hang out in the background!
After our session with the cows, we drove over to their quarry to take photos of the kids running around and playing. It got a bit windy, so our session was cut short, but we will be back to capture more photos.
I hope you enjoy these almost as much as I love this family.

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of taking a few headshots of my colleague, Cornell Woolridge, as he is running for Round Rock ISD Board Place 2. I was honored that he asked me to take his campaign photos. We have worked together for the past 3+ years, and I have seen how much he cares about students and their access to a great education. Cornell has worked as a tutor, SAT/ACT Instructor, and has recruited and hired teachers to instruct students in and around Austin, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio areas for students test prep. My point is that he is passionate about students, education, and representation for all students. He will serve Round Rock ISD Board proudly and will fight to make sure all students are receiving the best education possible.
As you are out voting in tomorrow’s election, please keep Cornell in mind when voting for RRISD Placement 2. If you would like to read more about his platform, I’ve included links below to his website and social pages.
Enjoy these photos from our shoot! Also, get out and vote tomorrow! Your vote counts!

A couple of weeks ago we had Luis’ family in town to visit. It was nice to have them here, we haven’t seen them since Christmas 2019! We decided to explore some fun spots around Austin and Round Rock. I forgot my camera the first evening, but we went to Old Settlers Park in Round Rock and let the kids play and fish.
The next day we went back to Old Settlers Park to let the kids (and Mateo) play on this awesome playground! We also had our cousin, Daisy, bring her three kids over to play as well. Nice little playdate with the family. After lunch, we headed to the Pennybacker Bridge and viewed one of the most iconic landscape scenes in Austin. Then we drove over to Mount Bonnell and viewed the views of downtown, the Colorado River, and insanely beautiful homes! Below are photos of our adventures! Enjoy!
