Day 4 was my absolute favorite day of LJT 2014. Most of my faves were there and the performances were AH-MAZING. Sam Riggs, Charla Corn, WCG, Whiskey Myers, Roger Creager and Josh Abbott Band reallllly brought the fun out! I hope it showed through on my photos!

Last Thursday night the Guitaristas tour featuring William Clark Green (Guns Up), Sean McConnell and Randy Rogers made an appearance at Graham Central Station in Pflugerville. It was an awesome night full of amazing singer songwriters! Including special appearances by Brian Keane and Josh Abbott. My goal for this set of photos is to show how much fun artists have together. This scene is such a great scene to be a part of and I love the “bromances” involved! It was such a fun time and I hope the photos show that!
I hope everyone has a very blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year! Remember to stop by and hopefully see my year in photos! 🙂

This past Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph our game against Baylor. I was sooooo excited as I’ve wanted to go to Jerry’s World but not really a Cowboys fan. I had so much fun photographing on the field that I really wasn’t paying attention to the score. Probably a good thing. Oh well, I’m proud of my Red Raiders, they never stopped playing until the final seconds of the game. I know we will have great success with our team and I hope to get the opportunity to photograph a couple more games! Hope you guys enjoy these photos. I had an absolute blast photographing and will never forget this experience! Wreck Em Tech! #IAmARedRaider

Happy Thursday! I wanted to share this photo as a sneak peek. I’m so busy with work and often times generally overwhelmed and so I’ve been making myself find ways of relaxation and calmness. I’ve been documenting it as well and I thought I would share this photo with you until I’m finished editing. This photo when I look at it, makes all my stress just disappear. I think because it reminds me as a kid when I would lay in the grass or swing on my swing in the front yard, I would lean back, close my eyes, look into the sun and just breathe. Sometimes with all the stress, anxiety and other issues I deal with on a daily basis, breathing can be a difficult task. This picture helps me remember the fun times I had in my childhood. Hope you like it and look for the full album soon!
P.S. Look for me on the sidelines at the Texas Tech vs Baylor game! I’ll be the one with a camera standing next to Kliff the whole time 😉 hahahahahaha. JJ. But, I really will be on the sidelines photographing the game, I apologize in advance for the amount of Instagram photos that will be on your feed. I have never been to Cowboys…errr… AT&T stadium, so I’m just a WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE bit excited! WRECK BAYLOR!

Hope everyone enjoyed the sneaks from yesterday! Here is the FULL album of photos! I’d like to apologize to Kyle Park, I accidentally erased all photos from his set. I’m horrified, I have never had that happen at a festival before. UGH. SO sorry. Please forgive me. Come back tomorrow and check for a sneak of Cody Bryan Band!

Sooooooo this week has been INSANE. Actually the past 2 weeks have been crazy. I’m super busy with Texas Tech and recruiting students. I’ve been giving at least 10 presentations every week, which y’all know I love to talk! The hours are long but, I have met so many amazing students! I really really really hope all of them choose Texas Tech and love it! I know I loved my time there! Anyways, tomorrow I’ll wrap up my week of recruiting just in time to photograph Fowlerfest at the Central Texas Speedway in Kyle.
I’m extra excited for tomorrow, because I am experimenting with a new lens to possibly include in my concert photography must have. I have been shooting bands for years and I’ve always wanted to use a fisheye lens to get a different prospective but I really haven’t found a justifiable excuse to drop hundreds of dollars on this lens. Thanks to Borrow Lenses, I am able to rent it for a week to see if it is something that would really set me a part from the other 1348907598195873 concert photographers in the TX Music Scene.
The lens came in on Wednesday afternoon and so I’ve taken it with me to a couple of college fairs to test it out a bit. I tried to test it out on Rocky but he wouldn’t be still enough for me to try it! Below are a couple of practice shots I took in preparation for tomorrow. I really think I’m going to buy this lens. So far I love it but we will see the end product tomorrow night! Hope I see some familiar faces tomorrow. My favorites, WHISKEY MYERS, will be there rocking faces! Come say hi if you see me! 🙂
Every post needs a little Texas Tech in it!
This is my favorite HS to visit. I love this hippo, I wish I could have this guy in my front yard.
