Larry Joe Taylor 2014 Day 1

It is that time of year again! Larry Joe Taylor Fest time! I drove in yesterday evening in time to catch the acts on the Budlight Stage. It is so great to be back this year. TONS of great bands will be here this week and I hope to be able to showcase their talent! Make sure you like Photostar Photography on Facebook and Follow me on Instagram (Photostar Photography). Day 1 artists include: Larry Joe Taylor, Deryl Dodd, Dave Perez (of the Tejas Brothers), Mike McClure, Bart Crow Band, and Kevin Fowler. Monday was already a party with the LJT 2014 attendees. I can’t wait for the rest of the week! Enjoy these and check back tomorrow for photos from today!

FowlerFest.

Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Fowlerfest. Mother nature decided rain in the Austin area was more important, so the festival had to be shut down before Kevin could take stage. Bummer. I was really looking forward to this festival because I rented a fisheye lens to get some new material. Sometimes you prepare yourself but in the end you still can’t control everything. A good life lesson everyone needs to learn! I’m not too overly pleased with the photos I took and I’m not 100% on board with the fisheye. I’ve decided to experiment with it again at another show I have coming up since I didn’t get to use it much Saturday. Oh well. Here are the photos that I did get. Hope you enjoy!

Lone Star Jam Day # 2

I hope everyone enjoyed Day 1 photos of Lone Star Jam! Day 2 was just as awesome. I finally was able to photograph one of my favorite bands in the scene right now: The Cadillac Three. They killed it and were obviously my favorite of the day. Other artists include: The Rankin Twins, Cody Johnson Band, Dirty River Boys, Kyle Park, Bob Schneider, Cory Morrow, Jack Ingram, Kevin Fowler and Randy Rogers Band. Not a bad lineup, right?! Larry Joe Taylor Day 4

I’m excited to show you photos from Day 4 of Larry Joe Taylor 2013. As I edit, I get super stoked to show everyone but at the same time the more days I edit, the closer I get to being finished and wrapping up my LJT experience! Oh well… 🙂 Day 4 included: The legendary Walt Wilkins, The only female in the line up: Charla Corn, Josh Weathers- who pretty much made my LJT experience. Insane how good of a show he and his band puts on. Stepehenville favorites: Six Market Blvd. (I have a hugeeeee music crush on Josh Serrato. He reminds me of Slash. I’m obsessed.) Roger Creager and Kevin Fowler finished Day 4 of LJT and it was a party! So much fun all around and I hope the photos express that! Enjoy and always let me know what you think!

Amber’s Angels Benefit Concert

A couple of days ago the 2nd Annual Amber’s Angels benefit concert took place at Midnight Rodeo Austin. I was fortunate enough to photograph for the Amber’s Angels organization again. Amberlynn Fett was a sweet soul that was taken too early from this world, but her legacy is still living on. Amberlynn passed away from her life long battle of Cystic Fibrosis in November of 2011. She was a HUGE TX Music and Texas Longhorn fan. Though, I didn’t know her personally, I would see her at shows {a lot of times with her mom} and she would be beaming ear to ear while listening to the music. Her smile was infectious and she loved helping others, which was obvious on Monday night with the amount of support that was there in her honor.

Monday night was a celebration for her as well as her charity that she started and was heavily involved in before she passed away. Debbie, it was a great honor to photograph for not only the organization, but for you personally. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
