Last Friday I had the fun opportunity of photographing the Van Full of Nuns at Buck’s Backyard in Buda. They are a traveling punk/pop group that hosts Pop-Punk Nite. Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see when they are in your area. It’s a good time! Check out the photos below.

This past weekend my boyfriend and I went up to DFW to get out of town for a couple of days. We both haven’t been to a Texas Rangers game, so we met up with one of his roommates from Tech and crossed it off the list! We started out Saturday morning driving to Fort Worth (Fort Wheezy as Luis said ALL day Saturday) and went to the Stockyards. I am embarrassed to admit it, but until Saturday I have never been to the Stockyards. I know, as a music + concert photographer in the Texas Music Scene, I am not Texan. Haha, take my camera and Texas membership card away! 🙂 We had a lot of fun walking around the Stockyards and ate at this Cafe called The Star Cafe. Delicious cheeseburgers! After our adventure in the Stockyards, we headed to Dallas to Luis’ old roommate’s house.
Saturday night we went to the Rangers game, they were playing the Red Sox. Luis loves the Red Sox, and we are going to Boston in August to watch them play the Astros. Saturday we were Rangers fans, and I loaded up on goodies at the gift shop. We also tried these nachos that were in a plastic baseball helmet. At the time it seemed like a fun idea but two bites in, they were pretty rich and dense. Oh well, I wanted the pink rangers helmet. The Rangers lost, but we still had a blast!
All in all, it was a great weekend and was a successful first “road trip.” It came in handy as we have purchased season tickets to the Texas Tech FB games and will be spending a lot of alone time driving to LBK this fall. Wreck Em!
Here are some iPhone photos I snapped from our DFW road trip!
