Day 3 of Larry Joe Taylor 2013

These photos are taking a lot longer than I had hoped to edit. There are SO many and I want to make sure they are post worthy! Day 3 was a fun day, Lots of great artists played this day including: Mike Ryan, Radney Foster, Brandon Rhyder (my fave), Reckless Kelly, Wade Bowen and THE Randy Rogers Band… hell of a line up!! Hope you guys enjoy them, spread the word about Photostar Photography if you could! Check back tomorrow for Day 4 photos!

Brandon Rhyder {Wild West, Cedar Park}

About a month ago, I finally got to go see a Brandon show! It has been months since I’ve seen him and as one of my favorites, I find it unacceptable! This show was extremely different, first off, Eddie Kloesel is no longer with Brandon and it was weird not seeing him bouncing around like Richard Simmons making sure everything was running smoothly. My friend, Mark Hudspeth is the new bassist and there is a chick who plays fiddle. Might as well be a new band! However, it was refreshing seeing all the new changes and of course to have a therapy session with Brandon’s music.

This was the first time I’ve been to Wild West, Cedar Park and I have to say while the space is awesome, the lighting on the stage is one of the worst I’ve experienced. It’s very frustrating as a music + concert photographer to try to photograph a show when the lighting is about as good as a flashlight. You would think they could have a proper set up. Rant over.

Tomorrow I’ll get to see the BR crew at Larry Joe Taylor Music Fest and I’m beyond excited! Greatest. Week. Ever. If you’re at Larry Joe Taylor Music Fest, come find me and say hi! Tell your friends to like my Facebook page and enjoy these photos!

love it. live it. capture it.

Amber’s Angels Benefit Concert

A couple of days ago the 2nd Annual Amber’s Angels benefit concert took place at Midnight Rodeo Austin. I was fortunate enough to photograph for the Amber’s Angels organization again. Amberlynn Fett was a sweet soul that was taken too early from this world, but her legacy is still living on. Amberlynn passed away from her life long battle of Cystic Fibrosis in November of 2011. She was a HUGE TX Music and Texas Longhorn fan. Though, I didn’t know her personally, I would see her at shows {a lot of times with her mom} and she would be beaming ear to ear while listening to the music. Her smile was infectious and she loved helping others, which was obvious on Monday night with the amount of support that was there in her honor.

Monday night was a celebration for her as well as her charity that she started and was heavily involved in before she passed away. Debbie, it was a great honor to photograph for not only the organization, but for you personally. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
