Happy Monday!
I thought I would start the week off with photos from our wedding. No, we didn’t get married a few weeks ago, we have been married for almost a year and a half! Life has been busy, and so I’m just now posting our photos.
Our wedding took about 10 months to plan. We were engaged on July 4th, and we got married May 28th. I wanted to create a Texas Country wedding. Both Luis and I are from West Texas and grew up in small towns. We both are Red Raiders, so I wanted to incorporate a few details, but I didn’t want the wedding to be Texas Tech themed. My husband’s family are cotton farmers out in Levelland, Texas and we wanted to incorporate that into our wedding. We had loose cotton (from his dad’s fields) throughout the venue, and the boutonnieres are cotton bolls that my mom and cousin made. We also had bales of mini cotton on the tables.
I love to entertain and plan events, so this wedding consumed my life for 10 months. The confetti that was thrown as we exited was hand punched by me (Luis helped a little bit), it took several days, but in the end, we had red, white and black confetti heat confetti! OUr cake was made to look like a tree trunk, we had a custom-made cake stand that was made out of a piece of wood with our names. It now sits on our dining room table! Luis and I made a logo for our wedding and put it on EVERYTHING! We had stadium cups, koozies and even pint glasses made for the wedding. We wanted our guests to leave with some tokens from our wedding, I like weddings like this!
Two of my favorite parts of our wedding (besides getting married of course!) was our band and the photo booth. Cody Bryan Band has been a wonderful group of guys I’ve seen play throughout the years. They graciously said yes to playing our wedding! They were great, our guests loved them and the fact that Cody turned T.I.’s “Whatever You Like” into a country song… wedding made! They were so great, I can’t say enough wonderful things about them. Please go see them play live! My other favorite was our photobooth, SilverCloud Trailer Events has an airstream trailer photo booth! It is the cutest thing ever! They wheeled it into the venue, and you step into the trailer and have your photos made. Our guests really enjoyed the photo booth, it came with unlimited printing, and we received copies of the photos.
The BEST thing was marrying Luis in front of our friends and family. We had such an excellent support system and loved everyone that was there. We had the most fabulous bridal party, Eric nailed our ceremony. It was such a unique experience. Before I show you photos, I want to include the entrance that Luis and his groomsmen did. It was so great, and I’m glad he went through with it. Be sure to watch it the video below!
Ahhhhh I want to renew our vows already! 🙂 We love our friends and family! <3
