Friday, November 6th at the Nutty Brown Cafe and Amphitheater, Randy Rogers Band put on a benefit to help out a friend and fabulous girl, Amberlyn Fett. At 6 weeks old, she was diagnosed cystic fibrosis. She’s now 20 years old and just went through a double lung transplant. She’s in a hospital in San Antonio recovering from that but that didn’t stop the musical happenings that night! Randy Rogers Band was generous enough to put on a benefit concert Friday night to help raise money for Amberlyn. There was a silent auction with lots of goodies including guitars signed by: George Strait, Eli Young Band, all the Boys from Oklahoma and a few others. As well as signed baseballs from Nolan Ryan, Ken Griffey and tons more that I can’t think of! Other items included concert tickets to see RRB, signed Mack Brown football, signed UT basketball jersey. As per RRB’s twitter account, they raised over $15,000 for Amberlyn. It was a great night to see them but even sweeter to attend with the idea that not only was it a concert but it was to help benefit a sweet girl that has gone through so much in her 20 years of life. I want to encourage you guys to check out her Web site and learn more about this amazing person and her story. There’s also a link for donations if you want to help out. Along with RRB performing, Ashley Ray, a kool chick from Lawerence, Kansas opened the show… you can find her on Myspace, Facebook.. etc. She was pretty awesome!!! Here are some more photos from Friday night! Enjoy!
